No. Our standard range is completely antibiotic free. We can add antibiotics for clients if requested and the prescription from the Veterinarian is provided. This is then regulated very strictly to ensure that the medication is added correctly.
We only sell premixes, macros, feed additives and speciality feeds. We do not supply final feeds that could be fed to animals directly. Our products require further mixing, along with the addition of other raw materials from feed mills or for home mixing purposes.
Pigipro is a milk replacer (preferably used only as a supplement as far as possible!) and Baby Wean is a prestarter. This means that their aim is different. Pigipro gives your piglets extra milk to take the strain off the sow and give better weaning weights. Baby Wean is mixed as a porridge and helps your piglets to start eating solids earlier so that their digestive system adapts quicker to solid feed. It will also help them to start eating their creep feed earlier. Think of it this way, Pigipro Milk Care is like formula milk for human babies whereas Baby Wean is like Purity.
No! Colostrum contains vital antibodies that builds the piglet’s immune system at birth. Pigipro can’t provide them with this. Colostrum is always essential after birth. Once the piglets have received colostrum, Pigipro serves as an ideal supplement for the sow’s milk. As far as possible, keep the piglets with the sow and give Pigipro as an extra boost for optimal growth.
Only speciality feed for the young piglet (milk replacer, prestarter, creep and link feed). Other than that, we are a micronutrient company and only produce and supply premixes, macro packs and feed additives.
The problem is that we typically stop feeding a creep feed at 42 days because of the cost implication. Yet, that piglet only adapts to plant-based diets at 49 days. This is why Link Feed is ideal at this stage. It is more economic to feed than a creep feed, but it still contains milk-based products and highly digestible plant protein, but at a lower level than your creep feed. This provides a smaller step for your piglets between the creep and weaner feed, ensuring that you give their digestive system the optimal opportunity to adapt.
When a piglet is weaned at 21-28 days, it can still mostly digest milk. In nature, a piglet will only be completely weaned off the sow’s milk at 49 days of age. That is when it’s digestive system is ready to use plant-based nutrients. So that is why we provide Jump Start. Jump Start contains highly digestible milk protein and lactose that the piglet can use to grow at this sensitive stage. It also contains a moderate level of processed plant proteins that are highly digestible, speeding up the piglet’s gut development so that it can use less expensive sources of nutrients, like maize and soya.

Training requires several visits to your farm. Firstly, we would like to see what systems are in place currently and what the normal routine is. Follow up visits will then be arranged for training purposes, focusing on where improvements are necessary and where to finetune staff skills.
